Tammy Jones is an incredible photographer of cemeteries.  Her haunting photographs capture the ethereal beauty and mystery of these otherwise gloomy places.  You find yourself staring and almost longing to be there... in the places she's photographed... to walk among the weather stained stones...

Tammy is one of the most interesting people you will ever want to know, and we here at Silverthorn Press are proud to include her and her work among our pages.  Thanks Tammy!

At the age of ten, I was playing in the cemetery while my mother was having bible study with the other women of the church.  Twenty four years later, I still have a passion for cemeteries and, now, photographing them.  I live in an area where history is abundant and often take day trips in search of objects to photograph.

Along with my fascination with cemeteries at an early age, also came the fascination of the paranormal.  I had experiences at my cousin's house starting around the age of 11, including unexplainable sounds and objects being moved around.  I still have unexplained things happen to me to this very day.  I have attended a few paranormal conferences and participated in "ghost hunts" of a couple of historic hotels and buildings in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.  I am very blessed to live less than two hours away from the oldest mountains in the US.  Lots of history in those hills!

I have always been attracted to things that are out of the ordinary.  I started reading about witchcraft and the occult while in high school.  I still remember the name of the spirit I contacted on my Ouija board, even the way he died.  My mom found the board in my closet and I had to say goodbye to Mike!

My interest in horror movies started at an early age also.  I remember watching "The Birds" and "Psycho" with my dad and the rest is history!   When cable TV arrived in my house, I began watching true crime specials, documentaries on Egypt, UFO's and anything dealing with the paranormal.  Now I am a serial killer fanatic, ghost hunter, undercover archeologist that has probably been abducted by aliens!
